Outside my window: If I HAD a window, all I would see is gray – gray rain, gray building across the street, gray street below, gray sky above. January, two Federal holidays notwithstanding, is my least favorite month of the year.
I am hearing: Glenn Beck on my .mp3 player, phones ringing in my neighbors’ cubicles.
I am wearing: black pants, a black and white striped blouse and a black sweater vest. Also, I am wearing black shoes and black socks. I should have gone with gray to match the weather.

In the kitchen: a container of sugar free strawberry jelly made with splenda that I bought by accident. I used it on my PBJ for breakfast today (I wasn’t feeling very industrious when packing my lunch yesterday) and it was DIS.GUS.TING. It may even be worse than the grapefruit jelly from right after Christmas.
I am thinking: That I would like very much to take a nap. I kept dosing off on the train, but couldn’t successfully fall asleep.
I am thankful for: my fuzzy sheets.
I am reading: Reading: Waking Up In Charleston by Susan Mallery and I am listening to Say Goodbye by Lisa Gardner.
I am hoping: I do not embarrass myself on Sunday.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Swim practice tonight, a birthday party for K tomorrow night, (her first at her new school – very exciting!), cleaning the house and officiating a swim meet on Saturday, and swimming in my first meet in over 20 years on Sunday (eek!).
