Simple Woman's Digest (11/14)

Outside my window I am seeing:  leaves falling from my neighbor's tree into our yard.  With the sun shining, everything looks so bright and golden.

I am hearing: Glenn Beck’s TV show from last Thursday.  Sense a theme yet?

I am wearing: My most comfy jeans with the fraying cuffs and a few Pippi the puppy bite holes, a t-shirt so I could get my allergy shots without stripping, and a fleece jacket.  Plus a PSU baseball cap b/c I am going to swim at lunch and don't feel like combing it at the moment.

In the kitchen: is a dishwasher full of clean dishes to be emptied and a sink full of breakfast dishes to be washed.  After work.

I am thinking: the dog is too quiet.

I am thankful for: a job that lets me sleep "in" a couple of days a week, dress in ratty, comfy clothes, and go to the gym at lunch when I choose sleep over an early morning swim!  Also, the men and women who are courageous enough to serve in our military so that we can enjoy our freedom here at home.

I am reading: Burnt Mountain by Anne Rivers Siddon.  Still reading Michael Vey too.

I am hoping: things go well for my sister today.

A few plans for the rest of the week:  our first dual meet is this Saturday, followed by the Turkey Trot on Sunday.  I'll be spending at last a chunk of my Friday off cleaning this messy house and doing laundry since I won't be home all weekend to do anything!  We get report cards today too, that should be fun, and have our 1st parent/teacher conference Thursday after school.
