Another bloggy activity I will steal...
Outside my window: the dwindling sunlight through a tree that hasn't quite turned its leaves yet. You can tell the rain is coming. Also, the shed in need of a new door before every rodent in Pennside takes up residence inside.
I am hearing: Glenn Beck's interview with Pat Buchanan on GBTV last night. I love being able to listen to the TV shows while I work at home and the radio shows while I work in the office. The dog is strangely quiet though...I should probably check into that.
I am wearing: sweat pants, a t-shirt, and a fleece jacket which I had on to go to the chiropractor earlier today. Also, slippers, my glasses, and some seriously-in-need-of-a-cut hair.
In the kitchen: is a dishwasher that needs to be emptied.
I am thinking: about when the next migraine will hit. I came home from the chiro, took 2 alleve, and packed my neck in ice. So far it feels pretty good - a little stiff and sore, but not overly painful. I am also thinking that my sister's MOHS surgery today may just be the impetus I need to stop picking the skin off my lip for good this time.
I am thankful for: not having a headache at the moment. Also, being able to work at home pretty much whenever I want to. K told me the other night that she wishes I could work at home every day so she could see me in the morning. Me too, sweetie, me too. When she gets up in the morning, she staggers into my office on the way to the bathroom....usually with her hair all mussed and in her eyes, with her eyes half closed, all warm and cuddly from bed and dragging snoopy. She'll come in, climb up on my lap, and we'll snuggle for a minute before she decides she has to pee and demand some breakfast from her dad. That may be my favorite part of working from home.
I am reading: 1225 Christmas Tree Lane by Debbie Maccomber and Michael Vey, Prisoner of Cell 25 by Richard Paul Evans. I am also listening to The Neighbor by Lisa Gardner.
I am hoping: I get through today without a headache. Sense a theme here?
A few plans for the rest of the week: tonight is family game night which, sense I am home, can start right after home work is done. We might make a library run as well if there is time. Tomorrow B has off and will work on that shed door. We have another weekend at home sense we sold our tix for the PSU vs. Illinois game. Since B's hours at church got cut (long story) and we are suddenly finding outselves a little shorter than we'd like in our budget, he agreed to work overnights next week, starting this Saturday and Sunday. Add to that the swim meet Sunday morning at 6:30am and it was just impossible to go to a game with a 3:30 kickoff. B has a meeting at church Saturday morning so K and I will just hang out, make it a Cinderella Saturday and then hopefully do something fun in the afternoon until the game comes on.
